Data Notes: Due to the lack of more comprehensive bus stop accessibility data, this metric relies on bus stop inventory data from the system-wide survey that was conducted as a part of MBTA's Plan for Accessible Transit Infrastructure (PATI) program. As such, it only reflects the current accessibility status of surveyed stops at the time and does not account for all current stops. The program classified stops as Critical, High, Medium, Low priority or Compliant, based on the severity and number of accessibility barriers. For this metric, "substantially accessible" refers to stops without Critical or High priority barriers. This metric excludes Silver Line stations, which are instead covered under the Station Accessibility metric.
